Congratulations to Jimmy Lynn and Catherine Ly for being selected to receive the Mayor’s 2010 Community Service Award, in recognition of their extraordinary contribution to Washington, D.C.’s Asian and Pacific Islander Community!
Catherine Ly volunteers with a number of AALEAD after-school programs, mentors a high school student, and has been using her graphic design skills to help us develop new outreach materials (look for a brand new AALEAD Info Booklet coming soon!).
Jimmy Lynn is a long time supporter of AALEAD. He is a mentor to two of our students, serves on the AALEAD board, and is Co-chair of the development committee.
The work of AALEAD is possible because dedicated individuals like Catherine and Jimmy, who support our efforts with their time, talent, and resources.
We are so proud of Catherine and Jimmy and want to thank them for their service to our students!
Many thanks also to all our other volunteers who serve throughout AALEAD and have a tremendous impact on the lives of our students.
